Up in the Blue Mountains - a morning a tour of artist NICK STRATHPOPOULOS with his partner ADRIAN ROBINSON private art collection followed by a tour of NIck’s studio. Nick is a five-time Archibald finalist. His 2016 entry of Sudanese refugee lawyer Deng Adut was voted ‘People’s Choice’ to great critical acclaim and media attention. He has also been a two-time finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize. His portrait “Ugly – portrait of Robert Hoge” won the People’s Choice Award in the 2014 Salon des Refusés, and that painting was a finalist in the 2015 BP Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery in London. He was also a finalist in the 2016 Shirley Hannan Portrait Prize in Bega, NSW
Then an afternoon tour of DAVID and LLOYD’s private art collection in their Blue Mountains home. Spanning over 30 years of collecting, with over 700 works of art. Current hang particular interests are works relating to contemporary social issues such as LGBTQ+, indigenous identity and immigration and refugees and so we have collected works by Abdul Abdullah, Richard Bell, Luke Thurgate, Andrew Nicholls, Reko Rennie, Michael Cook,Todd Fuller,Alex Seton,Gerwyn Davies,Robert Feilding and TonyAlbert .
